Thanks! In the past, I have controlled blackspot by spraying in January with lime sulfur. This kills the spores in the ground and sends the plants into dormancy, which doesn’t always occur around here by that time but is essential if the roses are going to perform well the next year. A 2- or 3-inch layer of organic mulch further helps keep it under control. In the growing season, I am experimenting with controlling blackspot using a solution of watered-down milk. I will write an update on that later on in the year.
