I planted some peonies for the first time last year. They barely survived and I thought I had lost them, and chalked it up to experience. Imagine my surprise this year to see vigorous shoots coming up in late spring followed by beautiful blooms. I’m really glad to see that they returned and thrived. Obviously I’m a n00b when it comes to flower gardens, but it was a wonderful surprise, and thanks for sharing yours .
I’ve learned they’re as fragile as the first good rain too!
