We had an extraordinarily warm (hot) spring last year, explained by El Nino. This year winter has been extra cold and no sign of spring as yet, supposedly due to La Nina. I actually find that somewhat reassuring. After last year I wondered if climate change was accelerating and each spring/summer would be hotter than the previous.
